ICF Freestyle Judge Development and Evaluation Seminar – Now Accepting Applications.


WHEN: Monday, August 7th through Wednesday August 9th, 9AM-6PM daily
2 full days of instruction followed by a day of testing
(time determined by how many candidates that need to be tested)

WHERE: Valleyfield Whitewater Center, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec
(just southwest of the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

Accommodations: Camping at the facility (area for tents and vehicles). Showers and bathrooms are available. There are also local hotels.
Meals: Plentiful nearby local places to eat with a wide price range as this is a small town/ suburban setting.
Fees: $30-$50/candidate (fee not yet determined) to cover the instruction, free camping.
Application: Application link will be posted this week and should be returned to Ned Poffenberger by August 1 by email. The fee will be collected on site (Canadian). Study materials and directions to the seminar facilities and camping will be sent once application is submitted.
Equipment: Pencil and paper. Laptops if you want. Bring paddling gear & boat if you want.
This is an unsponsored event. We are trying to minimize costs to the candidates. Candidates can spend as much or as little as they want for food and lodging during this seminar. Our seminar room is being graciously donated free of charge by Kayak Valleyfield.

USAFK In Action!

USA Freestyle Kayaking is the governing body for the sport of freestyle kayaking in the USA, affiliated with US Canoe & Kayak (USACK). USAFK’s mission is to promote the sport of freestyle kayaking through education and competition throughout the United States. To this end USAFK maintains the official rules and regulations for the sport, sanctions events throughout the country at all skill levels (including National Championships and Team Trails), and represents the United States within the International Canoe Federation (ICF).
